          Enters 2003 as the most accurate passer in school history. (54.7%)

          Ranks 10th in school history with 1,258 yards passing and 10 touchdown passes.

          1st career 100 rush game vs. Groves 10/25/2002

          Scored first career touchdown vs. Ortonville-Brandon on a 1 yard run. 9/14/2001

          Threw first career touchdown pass vs. Hazel Park. A 34-yard strike to Kevin Lombardi. 9/21/2001

          Started and played first half vs. Ortonville-Brandon. Team had 14-13 lead at halftime. 9/14/2001

          Led scoring drives vs. Avondale 10/5/2001 & Warren Woods Tower. 11/2/2001

          Kicked a 34-yard field goal vs. Hazel Park 9/21/2001

          Has kicked two career extra points including one vs. Andover 10/28/2000.

 

Off the Field

Sam is a 3.7 student.

He is one of the strongest players on the team. He works in the off-season with professional trainer Jim Browne.

 

He set the school record with a 325 lbs Bench Press.

 

He ran a 4.59 at the Nike Combine 4/26/2003.

 

He bench pressed 185 lbs. 30 times. Good enough 4th out of 410 athletes at the Nike Combine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sam is from Birmingham Covington School, he did not play football until 9th grade.
